Baby bar is a one-day examination given remotely to first-year law students’ in June and November.

No credit will be issued for any law study until the applicant passes the exam.

An excited Kim who has been looking forward to the result with so huge expectation checked online with lawyers who had been mentoring her on the phone.

On sighting her score, the mother of four became emotional because, as she confessed, she had put in a lot of effort in the build-up to the exam.

Poor Kim disclosed how she had prayed for a miracle to scale through on her second attempt.

She said;

“I failed! This is really annoying.”

To make matters worse, Kim actually did worse than she did the first time she took the test.

“Total scaled score: 463. I pretty much got the same thing. I mean, a little bit worse,” Kim added.

In a confessional, Kim said she felt “totally bummed” by the result but was committed to doing better in the next exam.

“It is what it is. I know I just have to not stress about it. There are so many other (expletive) stressful things going on, I just have to do better in the future.”

Kim called her sister, Khloe for emotional support and Khloe encouraged her to take it easy on herself because she was juggling a lot of things when she took the exam.

Khloe said:

“Honestly, you had COVID. You had your 40th birthday. You’re just dealing with so much personally in your relationship. And just quarantine in itself. And I really don’t think this last time counted.”

In a confessional, Khloe said:

“Kim is dealing with a lot of other things at the same time. The fact that she had COVID and with the show ending and her relationship with Kanye, so I think Kim has to give herself a little credit just for taking the (expletive) baby bar.”

She also reminded her that they told her it would take a miracle for her to pass the exam because of COVID.

And Kim replied:

“I wanted that miracle. I believe in miracles!”

President Buhari on ARISE TV

AGF Malami makes U-turn, says Nigerians who tweet won’t be prosecuted

Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami. [Twitter/@Hope_Uzodimma1]
Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, has denied saying that Nigerians who use Twitter in the face of a subsisting Twitter ban imposed by the President Muhammadu Buhari regime, would be prosecuted in courts.

Many young Nigerians resident in Nigeria, have been using Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) to circumvent the ban and conceal their locations, while tweeting as profusely as ever.

On June 5, 2021, Malami issue a statement to say this category of Nigerians would be prosecuted for flouting a federal government directive.

The minister has however reversed himself, saying his statement was misunderstood and taken out of context.

In a chat with Vanguard Newspaper, the minister said all he meant was that anyone who enabled Twitter to circumvent the ban was going to be prosecuted.

“It is within their guaranteed fundamental right to tweet from anywhere in the world. Nigeria, being a democratic nation, cannot stop its citizens from exercising their rights of freedom of expression,” Malami said.

“But our position on Twitter is clear: Anyone, whether individual or corporate institution that enables Twitter to circumvent the ban the Federal Government of Nigeria placed on the company, will be prosecuted.

“Our statement outlining our position did not ask the DPP to prosecute Nigerians using twitter or any social media platform to express their view.

“But we are going to use the legal instruments at our disposal to go after those who aid and abet Twitter to continue to threaten our corporate existence as a nation,” he added.

Some religious leaders had to issue disclaimers alongside their tweets, amid insinuations that they would be prosecuted.

Malami said at no time did the federal government threaten to prosecute any religious leader.

“It is clear from the barrage of insinuations and falsehood being orchestrated by some Nigerians and those trying to change the clear position of the Government of Nigeria to suit their whims and caprices and to whip up sentiments to hoodwink the people, that they are up to some mischievous and sinister games, which the Federal Government will not condone.

“At no time did we threaten any religious leader for using Twitter to express themselves. Neither did we indicate in any way that we were going after them. But mischief-makers were quick to mention names of religious leaders and give the impression that we were already in court to try them.

“Let it be made clear that the Buhari administration being a people-centred government that relies on the rule of law, will never adopt any policy or programme that seeks to add pain or injury to the very people who elected it to serve them.

“For the record, let it be made amply clear that the AGF, Abubakar Malami, is not after any Nigerian tweeting from Nigeria or anywhere in the world but that any Nigerian company or entity that gives a helping hand for Twitter to escape the ban placed on it, will be dealt with,” Malami warned.

The United States, UK, Canada, the European Union, Ireland and human rights advocates across the world, have been mounting pressure on the federal government to lift the ban.

President Buhari parried a question on the ban on June 10, preferring to laugh it off instead.

Careless indulgence between my aunt and I led to constant sex

Ladele Johnson was not prepared for what happened between him and Aunty Cecilia.  As usual, Aunty Cecilia, his mother’s adopted sister, was passing the night in their house. She had been doing that a lot since her marriage crashed after her husband moved in with another woman because she could not give him a child. On days she passed the night in their house, she always used the spare room in the flat in the front of their four-flat building. But one bad night she came and a visitor from the village had occupied her regular room.

Ladele’s mother asked him to clean the spare room in the back flat for her, the room was directly beside Ladele’s. He did as he was told. Around 11pm, he went to bed. Some two hours later he woke up to use the toilet and he started hearing a strange sound from the room Aunty Cecilia was. He tiptoed to the door and peeped through the key hole. Sitting n@ked on the bed was Aunty Cecilia. Her fingers were in her c^nt and she was mo@ning, her eyes were closed in ecstasy. Soon she was squeezing her b00bs gently, and gyrating with excitement.

Ladele ran back into his room and shut the door. He tried to go back to sleep, but no matter how hard he tried, all he could see was Aunty Cecilia’s b00bs and c^nt. He felt her b00bs were so firm and did not look like what someone once married should look like.

Some minutes to 2am, there was a knock on his door, he quickly pretended he was sleeping and did not answer.

“Why are you pretending to be sleeping?”

It was Aunty Cecilia’s voice.

“Open your eyes. I knew you were watching me.”

Ladele did not know when he screamed: “I was not watching you o, I only went to use the toilet.”

Aunty Cecilia smiled.

“There is no need for us to argue about that.”

Fear gripped Ladele wondering how she knew. He could not remember if the door was slightly open. He was still struggling with trying to unravel how she knew when Aunty Cecilia grabbed his d!ck, whose hardness gave him away as a pervert. Before he could protest, she was already stroking it and before he knew it, her mouth was on it, he let out a gasp. Aunty Cecilia dropped out of her night gown and led Ladele’s mouth to her b00bs, one after the other. He sucked them with calmness and the peace that descended on his body could better be experienced than imagined.  In no time, Aunty Cecilia was on him, moving her wet c^nt up and down his solid-rock phallus.

There was no stopping them after that. Aunty Cecilia eagerly turned down the room she used to sleep before their first s€xual romp. Her favourite room was now the one by Ladele’s. Of course, she always ended up on Ladele’s bed once his father and mother had retired to bed.

One day the family had a party in the village and right there in her car, in the dead of the night, she lured Ladele into his first car s£x. Three weeks after this, however, Aunty Cecilia’s period refused to show face. After two weeks without it, she became worried. She had never missed her period before and it had never failed for more than one day. She went to the clinic, bought a pregnancy test kit and peed in a container to know her fate.

She almost fainted at the sight of double red lines. To be extra sure, she went for a blood test the following day and her worst fear was confirmed: a foetus was growing in her. She was happy, she was sad. Happy she was pregnant for the first time in her life and sad she was pregnant for a boy eight years younger than she was. She wondered how she was going to handle it. First she stayed away from Ladele’s house and from Ladele’s mother, but since she never stayed too long away from her, Ladele’s mother soon started harassing her with phone calls. She gave excuses after another. She had no choice but to come to the house. For the first time in months, she chose her old room to stay and horny Ladele was hoping she would show up in his bedroom. From then on, she avoided Ladele who had gotten used to their relationship, especially the s€x, it was good and he wanted more of it.

Ladele confronted her on phone one day and she told him point-blank that they needed to stop. Before he could protest, she banged the phone on him. She, however, called Ladele to come to her house one day. There she told him she was pregnant.

“I am just telling you so that you will know, not because I want you to marry me or take care of the baby.”

That was the last Ladele heard of her. She moved away from her apartment, changed her numbers and became incommunicado.

Don’t Sit Idle Expecting Me To Stop Killer Fulani Herdsmen In Your States – Buhari Tells Governors

President Muhammadu Buhari has urged governors to stop waiting for him to solve every problem for them, saying they should stop attacks by herdsmen in their states.

Many states have been experiencing deadly attacks on agrarian communities by Fulani herdsmen, putting pressure on the President as Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces with the power to control the country’s centralised security system.

Since he is Fulani, many Nigerians have also accused him of bias and lacking the political will to curb attacks by the nomadic herdsmen, who are also largely Fulani.

But Buhari in an interview with Arise TV on Thursday, recalled two South-West governors recently visited him to complain about encroachment by herdsmen on farmlands in their states.

Describing it as a threat to food security, Buhari said, “You know these people more than I do, and you are democratically elected to protect your people. Don’t sit idly expecting me to do everything, take action.”

The Amalgamated Union of Foodstuffs and Cattle Dealers in Nigeria, AUFCDN, has threatened to resume its strike and cut off food supply nationwide to protest the failure of the Federal Government to pay the N4.75 billion compensation agreed with them.

The union went on strike in February this year to demand payment of N475 billion compensation for the lives of members and properties lost during the #EndSARS protest and Shasa market chaos. They also demanded that all roadblocks on federal highways be removed as they are being used to subject their members’ serious hardship.

The strike was later to be called off after Kogi state governor, Yahaya Bello, mediated.

At a meeting chaired by its President, Comrade Muhammad Tahir and held in Abuja on Tuesday, June 8, the Northern traders threatened to go on strike if the Federal government doesn’t fulfil its promise to pay them the said compensation.

They gave the government a three-week ultimatum to implement the signed agreement that led to the calling-off of their strike in March. They also alleged that their members were still being extorted by security agencies and harassed in the South – East.

The United States is increasing the pressure on President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration after the suspension of Twitter in Nigeria.

On Wednesday, June 9, 2021, the US Mission in Nigeria conveyed the message of top American official, Samantha Power.

The senior diplomat is the current Administrator of the US Agency for International Development, USAID.

Power said: “There are nearly 40 M Twitter users in #Nigeria, and the country is home to Africa’s largest tech hub.

“This suspension is nothing more than state-sanctioned denial of free speech and should be reversed immediately. #KeepitOn.”

Power was the 28th US Ambassador to the United Nations from 2013 to 2017.

Last Friday, federal authorities sanctioned Twitter indefinitely after Buhari’s tweet was deleted.

The President had stated that many of those misbehaving in the South-East region were young and did not witness the destruction and loss of lives that occurred during the civil war.

“Those of us in the fields for 30 months, who went through the war, will treat them in the language they understand”, the former General warned.

After the deletion, Information Minister, Lai Mohammed, condemned “the persistent use of the platform for activities that are capable of undermining Nigeria’s corporate existence”.

The government directed the National Broadcasting Commission, NBC, to start the process of licensing all OTT and social media operations.

The NBC was also ordered to force broadcast stations – Television and Radio – to stop using Twitter or face the consequences.

The actions are being criticized by Nigerians, countries, local and international organizations.

On Tuesday, the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, SERAP, and concerned citizens filed a lawsuit against Buhari administration over “the unlawful suspension of Twitter”.

The plaintiffs, in the suit filed by legal luminary, Femi Falana (SAN), want an end to the criminalization of Nigerians using the microblogging site, the repression of: human rights, freedom of expression, access to information, and media freedom.

Nigeria Immigration Service reopens portal for passport applications

Nigeria Immigration Service reopens portal for passport applications

The Comptroller-General of the service, Mr Muhammad Babandede, said the portal became effective from 12 midnight on Tuesday.

Babandede said the portal would allow eligible applicants to apply and make payments for the various categories of passports of their choice.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that the passport portal was closed on May 17, following a directive by the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola.

The minister had directed the closure of the portal to enable the service to clear the backlog of applications in issuing centres across the country in the past few months.

Babandede further explained that with the reopening of the portal, a new passport application and payment regime had begun.

He said: “Applications and payments for passport services shall be made through the service website, www.immigration.gov.ng.

“Applicants are expected to visit the portal to apply and upload their support documents for vetting and processing.

“A chat room facility to guide applicants through the application and payment process has been provided on the portal.

“Upon successful applications, applicants shall make their online booking interview/enrollment appointment on any day, time and location they consider convenient.

“The new timeline for passport production and issuance after a successful enrollment at the selected issuing centre shall be six weeks for fresh applications and three weeks for re-issue (renewal applications).”

According to him, no applicant who has yet to make online application and payment shall be allowed into any of the issuing centres for passport processing.

The comptroller-general added that applicants would be contacted through the email addresses and phone numbers they provided during application when their passports were ready.

He, however, cautioned Nigerians to avoid patronising touts as the entire process had been made seamless for effective and efficient service delivery.

Babandede warned passport racketeers to desist from acts capable of undermining the NIS reform efforts to avoid very strict sanctions.

‘No going back on commercial tricycle, motorcycle ban in Anambra’

The Secretary to Anambra Government, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu says that government is unyielding on the ban on use of motorcycles, tricycles and shuttle buses for commercial transportation across Anambra.

Chukwulobelu said this in a press statement made available to newsmen on Tuesday in Awka.

He said that the ban is between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. for one month in the first instance.

According to him, the temporary ban is aimed at improving the security situation in state and to curtail criminal activities often perpetrated using motorcycles and tricycles.

The SSG restated that the earlier ban on the use of commercial motorcycles in greater Onitsha and Awka areas during the day and night remained in force.

Chukwulobelu warned that any commercial motorcycle found within these areas would be impounded, forfeited and urged the operators to comply with the directives.

He also said that shuttle buses were banned from using tinted glasses or curtains while plying Anambra roads.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that government had ordered all other vehicles either with factory fitted tinted glasses or plain glasses to always wind down while approaching any security checkpoint to avoid embarrassment.

The government had also charged community leaders to take responsibility for the supervision and compliance to the directives.

It also directed youths and stakeholders in communities to take ownership of security in their environments to complement law enforcement agents in order restore law and order in the state.
