September 1, 2019

Richarlison scored twice as Everton came out on top in a pulsating match against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Goodison Park.

The Brazilian struck on five minutes by capitalising on a defensive mix up but Wolves drew level four minutes later when Everton did not clear an Adama Traore cross to allow Romain Saiss to finish.

The Brazillian got things rolling early on when punishing  a defensive howler from Conor Coady  (5) but Romain Saiss fired Wolves level (9) after some tricky work from Adama Traore. In what was a pulsating start to the game, Alex Iwobi on his full Premier League debut for the Toffees – then headed Everton in front again (12).

Wolves levelled again with 15 minutes to go when Raul Jimenez headed in from Willy Boly’s flick on.

But, with 10 minutes remaining, Lucas Digne crossed for Richarlison who powered a header into the bottom corner.

Everton’s second win of the season puts them up to fifth, on seven points. Wolves, who had Boly dismissed for a second yellow card late on, are 17th after their first PL defeat of the season.

RUGA: Zamfara to introduce Fulfulde in schools

By

September 1, 2019

The Zamfara Government says it will introduce Fulfulde language in its schools’ curriculum as it kick starts the construction of 300 hectare Ruga settlements during the week.

Gov. Bello Matawalle disclosed this in Gusau when he received the state’s Ruga settlement master plan from the project consultant.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the governor had since announced the carving out of 100 hectares of land in each of the three senatorial districts of the state for the establishment of the pilot special modern Ruga settlement.

During the presentation of the Ruga settlement, the Emir of Mafara, Alhaji Muhammad Barmo, while speaking on behalf of the state’s Council of Chiefs, urged the state government to include the Fulani language in its the schools’ curriculum.

Barmo noted that since the Hausa and the Fulani communities were inseparable and while the Hausa language was already being taught in schools, the Fulfulde should also be taught.

Gov. Matawalle then directed the state Ministry of Education to immediately start working for the inclusion of the Fulfulde language in the schools’ curriculum.

“This will boost the use of our local languages by our upcoming generations.

“Since we have promised to establish primary and secondary schools at the new Ruga settlements, we will ensure that the local language is not forgotten,” Matawalle said.

The governor had announced establishment of the Ruga settlement during the celebration of his 100 days in office.

He said the State Government would ensure early completion of the project before the commencement of the Federal Government’s Ruga settlement programme in the state.

Matawalle promised to stock the Ruga settlement with modern ways of animal husbandry that would ensure peaceful coexistence among the inhabitants and boost their economic well being.

Most people always find ways to improve their sexual experience hence scientists have linked a variety of foods that can boost sex drive.

Keeping the circulatory system in good working order is essential for healthy sex life. Better circulation can lead to an improved sexual response in men and women.

Foods that can help people improve their sex drive are commonly called ‘aphrodisiacs’, named after Aphrodite, the ancient Greek goddess of love.

Certain foods help in increasing the blood flow throughout the body. Your diet arguably has the biggest effect on how the body will function; here are foods that can boost your sex drive;

Strawberries and raspberries

Strawberries and raspberries

The seeds of these fruits are loaded with zinc which is essential for sex for both — men and women. It is believed that women with high level of zinc in their bodies find it easier to prepare for sex.

In men, zinc controls the testosterone level which is responsible for producing the sperm. It is important that men load up on zinc as their zinc levels reduces during intercourse.

Avocados

Avocados

Did you know that the word “avocado” came from the Aztec word for “testicle”? Folic acid and vitamin B6 are both necessary for a healthy sex drive as contained in avocados.

Folic acid pumps the body with energy, while vitamin B6 stabilises the hormones.

Watermelon

Watermelon

Watermelon improves one’s erection and increases the sex drive.

They also contain ‘citrulline’ which releases amino acids and arginine in the body. Arginine is responsible for vascular health.

The truth is this juicy tropical fruit does so much more than replenishing your body with fluids.

Almonds

Almonds contain arginine which improves circulation and relaxes blood vessels.

This amino acid found in almonds helps you maintain an erection.

Walnuts

Walnuts

Walnuts are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, healthy fats that boost dopamine.

It also contains arginine, an amino acid that increases the production of nitric oxide, which relaxes blood vessels and increases circulation.

Oysters

Oysters

Oysters have been associated with increased sex drive since the time of ancient Rome. With so much history behind it, the whole oyster-libido linkage probably has some truth to it.

Oysters are high in zinc, which is essential for proper functioning of the male reproductive system

Bananas

Bananas

Apart from the obvious shape of the fruit, it’s the potassium in bananas that can help improve your sex drive.

Since potassium helps increase muscle strength and contraction, achieving orgasms can become much easier.

Additionally, bromelain helps produce testosterone. Add a frozen banana to your post-workout smoothie or add banana slices to overnight oats for some natural sweetness.

Tigernut

Tigernut

Medically, this may not have been proven but traditionally, tiger nuts has been used as an alternative medicine for the treatment of erectile dysfunction and related problems.

Its rich content of the Vitamin E also helps in men fertility issues as it aids in the free and active movement of the sperm which will easily swim to fertilize the egg leading to easy conception.

It also contains other vital minerals which will help boost sperm count and also improves its thickness. It also improves sex drives in both men and women.

Liverpool 3 – Burnley 0

By

August 31, 2019

Substitute Roberto Firmino scored with his first touch as Liverpool came from behind to beat struggling Burnley and stay in touch with leaders Manchester City in the Premier League table.

Jack Cork gave the hosts a surprise lead after Alisson could not gather the ball following a corner but Jurgen Klopp’s side hit back with three goals.

James Milner equalised with a superb low finish from the edge of the box and Firmino, one of seven players left out from the side that started against Everton on Sunday, tapped home Virgil van Dijk’s athletic cutback.

Xherdan Shaqiri made sure of the win for Liverpool with a clinical counter-attack goal moments after Alisson had saved superbly from Ben Mee.

Liverpool are two points behind Pep Guardiola’s side after 15 games and have made the best start to a season in the club’s 126-year history.

They will go top of the table and put pressure on City on Saturday if they win at Bournemouth (12:30 GMT), with the leaders facing a difficult game at Chelsea at 17:30.

Reds dig deep to keep pressure on Man City

For the first time since May 2017, Klopp started a league match without star forwards Firmino, Mohamed Salah or Sadio Mane.

This was Liverpool’s 21st competitive game of the campaign and, with a lunchtime kick-off at Bournemouth on Saturday followed by a must-win Champions League game against Napoli on Tuesday, the Liverpool boss made wholesale changes.

For long periods it looked like the German’s decision could backfire.

The much-changed Reds were subdued in a first half in which they lost defender Joe Gomez – one of the four survivors from Sunday’s line-up – to an ankle injury following a challenge with Mee.

Nevertheless Clarets keeper Joe Hart still had to save well from Daniel Sturridge and Naby Keita when the game was goalless and the visitors’ evening got worse when they conceded in the top flight for the first time since 3 November.

But soon after Milner cancelled out Cork’s goal, leading scorer Salah and Firmino were introduced and Liverpool finally took control.

Firmino was in the right place to slide in only his second top-flight goal in three months after a terrific assist from Van Dijk while Phil Bardsley cleared another effort by Keita off the line in the closing stages.

In a frantic finish, Alisson stretched to keep out Mee’s header before Shaqiri finished emphatically after an excellent breakaway involving Sturridge and Salah.

Clarets need points – not hard-luck stories

Burnley played with energy and purpose for long spells yet remain one point from safety in 19th spot after a 10th top-flight defeat.

This was a much-improved performance compared to the 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace in their previous game.

With the game goalless, Chris Wood had a shot deflected just wide while Bardsley went even closer to his first goal for the club with a sweet strike.

Ashley Barnes had a goal ruled out for offside before Cork had the home fans dreaming of a first Premier League win since 30 September after Liverpool failed to clear a corner.

But Liverpool’s quality substitutes proved the difference as Burnley conceded their 31st and 32nd top-flight goals of the season.

Having taken two points from the last 24 on offer, Burnley need to start turning hard-working performances into points quickly – or face a tough winter in the bottom three.

Man of the match – Naby Keita (Liverpool)

Naby Keita
Naby Keita made a flying start to his Liverpool career in August but injuries have prevented him making a significant impact in the last two months. However the Guinea midfielder was effective at both ends of the pitch against Burnley, deflecting Chris Woods’ shot wide at one end before forcing Joe Hart to tip a blistering shot on to a post

‘We made life difficult for ourselves’ – the managers

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp: “Burnley had this specific plan, they wanted to be really aggressive.

“I was really happy we could go into half-time and adjust a few things. We made life difficult for ourselves.

“We controlled the game in a lot of moments. The second half was the perfect reaction and I’m really happy about the three points.”

Burnley manager Sean Dyche: “The minimum we wanted was a performance and that was much more like us.

“The important thing now is we have to keep delivering that level of performance because if we do we are still a force in the Premier League.

“The crowd were absolutely fantastic and they are right with us. It all starts with tonight’s performance now and that has to be close to the benchmark and we have to build on that.”

Shock Hits NFL As Ryan Russell Reveals He Is Bi-Sexual, Shares Pictures

Ryan Russell, a former NFL defensive end who last played for the Buccaneers has revealed he is bisexual.

The 27-year-old penned an as-told-to article to ESPN, where he broke the news.

“Have I lied to teammates, coaches, trainers, front-office executives and fans about who I am?” Russell wrote in an article posted Thursday to ESPN.com. “Not exactly. But withholding information is a form of deceit. And I want the next part of my career – and life – steeped in trust and honesty.

During the season you spend more time with your team than with your own family; truth and honesty are the cornerstones of a winning culture. My truth is that I’m a talented football player, a damn good writer, a loving son, an overbearing brother, a caring friend, a loyal lover, and a bisexual man.

“Today, I have two goals: returning to the NFL, and living my life openly. I want to live my dream of playing the game I’ve worked my whole life to play, and being open about the person I’ve always been.”

“Those two objectives shouldn’t be in conflict,” Russell wrote. “But judging from the fact that there isn’t a single openly LGBTQ player in the NFL, NBA, Major League Baseball or the NHL, brings me pause. I want to change that – for me, for other athletes who share these common goals, and for the generations of LGBTQ athletes who will come next.”

Russell also went public with his relationship with his boyfriend, who wrote of the NFL player on his Instagram page, “This man is the top headline on @espn this morning for speaking his truth as a player in the NFL and as my boyfriend. I couldn’t be more proud.”
